As a youth art educator, I am self-motivated, dependable, and have extensive experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds in both formal and informal settings   . . . these include Public Schools, museums, community art centers, recreation centers, and camps. I have always had an interest in education and learning through art. In 2010, I pursued my Masters of Science in Art Education at the Rochester Institute of Technology and earned my certification to teach in New York State. I also hold a K-12 teaching certification for Montana, and I'm currently in the process of renewing my Illinois State License.

I believe in curricular integration and lesson plans in art education relating to core subjects. Also, in developing research strategies and curriculum planning focused on projects and experential learning.  I am always thinking creatively and adapting to new situations in the classroom. It is my hope to serve students and communities through my knowledge,  professional experience, and commitment to    quality art education.
